Te KoreOver the last 10 years in Aotearoa,
we have witnessed an exciting explosion of fusion music across a wide variety of genres, and the new Pacific Curls album Te Kore adds even more spice to this melting pot! With the dynamic songwriting team of Kim Halliday (music) and Ora Barlow (lyrics), Te Kore is a celebration of this talented trio's music expressed on instruments as diverse as the ukulele, kalimba, fiddle and cajon, while combining guitar, Taonga Puoro, a little beatboxing, the pot drum and of course their gorgeous vocal harmonies.

Pacifi CeltaThe third offering from Pacific Curls is a collaboration with Scottish fiddle Player extraordinaire, Sarah Beattie. With the departure of Kaui, Halliday and Barlow have weaved the Polynesian and Maori flavor with a very celtic sounding Beattie, and the fusion has been incredibly successful, having just toured this album throughout festivals in Canada the Trio have made the journey of this cross cultural experiment a joy for their audiences and listeners/lovers of fine music Standout tracks, Poi Porotiti and Islands are sinking, the latter being a tribute to our Pacific Islands and the effects Global Warming is having in the Pacific…
